"hi there!" Bee shouted at Onyx. She waved even though they weren't looking because it was the polite thing to do

Billie was more focused on the stink bug on Emit’s head. He somewhat hoped it would make Emit stinky and make the annoying girl not like him.

Onyx froze, glancing back for a moment. They pointed at themself, furrowing their brows a little.

Harley grimaced at how loud Bee was being, frowning.

"yep, you." Bee said. She looked around the hallway for any other kid.

Billie flicked the stink bug away and looked at Onyx, then Bee, then Harley, then back at Emit.

Onyx swallowed and crossed their arms tightly across their chest, hesitantly walking over to the group.

Harley watched them, frowning. This kid again?

"what're you doing lingering around like that? If Marta sees you she's gonna accuse us of excluding you even though you didn't even say hi." Bee said

'Marta isn't nice,' Billie commented.

"I just don't like talking to people," Onyx replied in a quiet voice, shrugging a little.

Then go away and stop snooping. Harley frowned, looking down.

"oh, okay then." Bee said, a bit confused. She rubbed her ankle again. It was burning again. "I hate staircases." Bee said offhand.

Billie stood up, grabbing Emit’s arm with a stink bug in his spare hand. ‘Why?’

"Because people are loud, and overstimulating," Onyx spoke bluntly, crossing their arms over their chest.
