Astrid just sighed. ‘Checking on you two,’ he said, folding his arms over his chest.

Jayden raised his eyebrows in skepticism.

Astrid rolled his eyes. ‘Can you talk me through what’s happened?’

"Why?" Jayden asked curiously.

‘Because I want to know.’
Chester nibbled his crumpet. -
"It's not my thing to tell." Jayd said after a moment.

Astrid glared, sitting down. ‘Well, I’m not leaving.’

Jayden rolled his eyes. "I'm not telling." He looked at Chester.

Chester looked up at him, still nibbling on his crumpet. ‘Oliver?’
‘Yeah?’
‘Do you have my pocket watch?’
The doctor reached into his pocket and handed Chester the pocket watch. ‘There you go.’ -
Jayden looked at the pocket watch and then back at his boyfriend.
(I'm really sorry that I keep disappearing, but I gtg) -
Chester fidgeted with the chain. Maeve gently rubbed his shoulder with her thumb.
(Lmao alg!) -
Jayd finished his crumpet.

Chester snuggled closer to Jayden. Astrid leaned back in his chair, watching the two.
‘Where’s Beatrice?’ Maeve asked, glaring at Astrid. -
"She left." Astrid answered vaguely.

Chester looked up, frowning. ‘Left?’ he questioned.
