Jayd took his hand, standing up.

Chester smiled and kissed his cheek, before following the servant out of the dining hall.

Jayden followed him.

Chester held onto his hand until they got to where the telephone was. He picked up the thingy and spoke into it. ‘Hello?’
‘Sire, the military base is evacuated,’ said somebody on the other line.
‘Excellent! Have you got all the equipment and weapons?’ -
Jayd squeezed his hand, before letting go. He heard the other voice on the line, leaning into Chester slightly.
"Yes sir, we've got it all covered." -
‘That’s great! And the soldiers?’

"They're all here, sir."

‘Perfect. Put the more experienced ones on guard duty tomorrow, along with a quarter of the current guards at the basement, where the weapons are. Anything else?’

"Of course, sire. No, there's nothing else."

‘Great, thank you,’ Chester said, hanging up. He looked at Jayden with a smile.

Jayden smiled back, leaning into her.

Chester wrapped his arms around him, relief evident on his face. -
(Shut up moron)
Jayden noticed his facial expression, smiling softly. -
(Heyyy ;-;)
Chester rubbed their noses together. ‘I can’t believe I was so worked up for nothing,’ he murmured.
