Jayden nodded, moving closer to him.

Chester walked into the dining room and sat at the table.

Jayd sat next to him. He’d go to the meeting after he made sure Chester was ok.

Chester glanced at Astrid, then down at his watch.

Astrid watched him intently. Jayd noticed, glaring.

Chester fiddled with the chain, wondering what Astrid would have him do first.

Jayden leaned on Chester’s shoulder slightly. “Are you ok?” He asked quietly.

Chester nodded, opening and closing the watch.

“Ok.” The food came. Jayden took his food and ate quickly so he wasn’t too late to the meeting.

Chester started eating too, just not as fast.

Astrid ate too. “Jesus, slow down.” He told Jayden. He shook his head, not wanting to talk with food in his mouth.

Chester didn't say anything.

Jayden eventually finished. He took a drink of water and kissed Chester on the top of the head. “I’ll be back soon. Gotta go to a meeting.”
“Great. Me and Chester’ll have time to get to know each other.” Astrid smirked. “Right, Chester?”
Jayd frowned. “Astrid, don’t be a brat.” -
'Your little bunny is the only brat here, Jayden.'
Chester smiled weakly. 'See you.' -
“Tell me if he does anything to you.” Jayden told Chester. Astrid’s look on his face made it abundantly clear that Chester couldn’t even if he wanted to.
