Jayden played with his hair a bit. “Love you too, beautiful.”

Chester let him, smiling.

Jayd smiled before kissing the top of his head. He checked the time on his clock before sighing. It was almost midday, meaning he had to decide what to do about the board, and quickly.

Chester noticed his sigh. He pulled himself closer to him. ‘What’s wrong?’

“Nothing.” Jayden murmured. He might as well get used to lying to Chester if he was going to go through with this plan.

Chester pulled him closer. ‘Alright.’

Jayd thought for a bit longer on what to do. He couldn’t just give up his position and let the directors do whatever they pleased, but he also couldn’t manipulate Chester like that. It was heartless.

Chester nuzzled into him. A while passed of them cuddling in peaceful silence.

Jayden wrapped his arms around Chester. He didn’t deserve this. Not if he was going to go through with the horrible plan.

Chester kissed his neck, sensing his discomfort. ‘Are you sure you’re ok?’ he murmured softly.

“I’m fine.” Jayden mumbled. “Don’t worry about me.”

Chester sighed. ‘You know you can talk to me about anything, right? Anything at all.’

Not about this…
“Yeah…” Jayden sighed. “It’s nothing, just boring meeting stuff, ok?” -
Chester looked him in the eye. ‘Tell me. Please.’

“I-I-“ Jayden stopped. “Please don’t make me.” He whispered after a moment, avoiding eye contact.
