"Oh really?" Jayd questioned, the weird feeling in his gut slowly fizzing away.

'Yes. I have no love interests,' Chester snapped, as convincingly as he could, and turned back to his work.

"Alright." Jayd mumbled, sitting down and leaning against the desk.

Chester continued staring at his paperwork.

Jayden didn't say anything, feeling like if he did Chester would get mad again since he was so annoying.

Chester looked down at Jayden. 'You're unusually quiet. Are you alright?'

Jayd nodded, looking up at Chester. "I'm alright. Are you?"

'I'm fine.'

"Alright." Jayden looked back at the floor.

Chester looked at the papers for a moment, then back at Jayden. 'Are you sure?'

Jayd nodded with a small smile. "Yes, I'm sure. Don't worry about me."

'If you say so,' Chester said.

Jayden nodded, looking up at Chester. "Sorry. About being annoying with the diary."

'It's fine,' Chester said.

"No it's not." Jayd shook his head. "You don't need to pretend it is."
