Jayden smiled, reading more of the book before looking at Chester. “Why didn’t you pull away from Beatrice?” He mumbled.

Chester looked down. ‘She caught me by surprise, Jayden. I-I was really shocked. I couldn’t think. She… tends to have that affect on me…’ He sighed.

“Ok, ok, you don’t have to answer that question anymore.” Jayden gave a weak smile.
