Jayd blushed. "Bye." He said as Chester left before turning to Maeve. "What's that about?" He asked quietly.

‘Nothin. What’s what about?’

"The argument." Jayden shrugged.

‘Argument? There was no argument,’ Maeve said quickly, avoiding his gaze.

"Fine, you don't have to tell me if you don't want to." Jayd could tell she didn't want to talk about it. He turned back to his food.

Maeve nodded. ‘It’s just sibling drama,’ she mumbled.

Jayden shrugged. "Sibling drama sucks."

‘Do you have a sibling? An annoyingly responsible big brother, maybe?’

Jayd thought about that before nodding. "Yeah, I did." His voice grew quieter.

Maeve blinked. Her face fell. She’d heard those words come from Chester’s mouth too many times.
‘You did?’ she asked. -
Jayden gave a small nod. "I did." He repeated.

‘Please tell me he got disowned or something. What do you mean you “did”?’

"Not disowned exactly." Jayd mumbled, not answering.
