Jayd nodded, smiling gently. "Of course. Now go yell at a tree or shapeshift, or do whatever weird coping mechanism you have."

‘I love you,’ Chester mumbled. He kissed Jayden’s forehead, then morphed into a phoenix. He sat there, perched on the grass.

Jayd smiled, looking at the phoenix. "Love you too, beautiful."

The phoenix seemed to smile. He made a chirping sound.

Jayden chuckled, sitting down on the grass.

Chester wrapped his wings around himself.

Jayd smiled. "You're so pretty." He said, chuckling. "Even in phoenix form."

The phoenix chirped in reply. It was obviously unclear what was said, but almost like he was calling Jayden beautiful as well - or something along those lines.

Jayden chuckled, stretching his hand out to try and pet Chester.

Chester nuzzled Jayden’s hand with his head.

Jayd closed his eyes, content.

Chester chirped happily.

Jayden chuckled. "You know I have absolutely no idea what you're saying, right?"

Chester nodded his phoenix head.

Jayd didn't notice since his eyes were closed, but he figured Chester knew anyway.
