“I- oh, hey, you look familiar.” Luna rubbed her sore nose and raised an eyebrow as she stared at Ashton’s face, trying to remember where she had seen him.
"I don’t necessarily remember you that well, you just seem familar… what was it again?” Luna looked at the ground in shame since she had forgotten his name right off the bat.
“Sure!” Luna exclaimed, a bit too excitedly. A shade of pink dust flushed across her face. “C-Could I have your number, though? I have a feeling I’d forget about this encounter.”
He went into her contacts and pressed the plus button.
He logged in his phone number and put his contact name as 'Ashton (bumped into you at science)' just in case she forgot. He then sent a text to himself so that he had her number.
"Here," he said, handing her phone back to Luna.
“Wow, a friend!” She giggled to herself quietly as she replayed the moment in her head, trying not to forget what had went down. “That’s new.”
Wait, am I forgetting something? Something felt entirely off, yet she couldn’t quite place her finger on it. Hold up, Ashton was running to class. Class… CLASS! I’m gonna be late for class!
She threw the backpack strap over her shoulder and, forgetting the rules, ran down the hallway to her class desperately.
A loud ding rang out rather obnoxiously from Luna’s phone as she was hurriedly stuffing her face with cereal. The girl groaned and dropped her spoon back into the bowl, a small pout on her mouth as she roughly wiped away the crumbs with her paper napkin. Her eyes flicked over to her phone that had lightened up due to a new notification.
As…-hton? Luna raised an eyebrow as she tried to remember who exactly she had run into at science. Oh, wait! It’s that new friend I made!
Luna couldn’t help but give herself a pat on the back for remembering who the person was.
"Hi! What’s up?”
Luna — 0 seconds ago.
Luna put her phone back on the table after she had sent the message and stared at the device, waiting for the person on the other end of the screen to reply.
