Turner rolled his eyes. Callyn wasn't using him for his popularity. Right?

(Remember, he starts trying to look for evidence that her dad's wrong, but his mindset shifts and he starts only looking for ways he's right)
Callyn drove home and had a snack. She didn't feel hungry enough for supper. -

Turner panicked a little, so he called Callyn. -
Callyn picked up her phone when she heard it ringing. It was Turner. She pressed the little green button and held the phone up to her ear. "What's up?"

"Do you like popularity?" he asked.

"I wouldn't know," he said. "I've never had it."

"Would you want some?"

"I - I don't know," Callyn said. "What's going on, Turner?"

"Hmm. Interesting." Turner mumbled.

Callyn had a confused expression and sat on a chair. "Turner, what is it?"

"Do you like the attention you're getting from the reporters?" he asked again.

(I didn't mean to write again-)

(You didn't)
"Not really," Callyn said. "At least not from Debbie," who was the only reporter she had ever encountered.
