Cloud and Puff," Carl (akak Carla) said. "What about yours?"

"Ragger (it's a good dog name too), Switcher, and Gracie," Natalia said.

"Those are good names," Carla said, smiling. A squirrel peeked at them. "Oh, look. W e have a visitor."

Suddenly the squirrel jumped at them, claws out.

"Gah!" Carla said, jumping out of the way.

The squirrel landed in the fridge and swerved to attack again.
(Is it weird that I'm playing the mad squirrel?)

"Where did that fridge come from?" Carla said, dodging the squirrel once more. -
"A magic portal, maybe?" Natalia said with a shrug.
Finally the squirrel gave up. The fridge had knocked a lot out of him. -
Carla stared at the squirrel. "Hey, buddy. What were you attacking us for?"

"You have my prize nut in your hair," the squirrel said in a high-pitched voice.

"Okay, you could have just-" Carla froze. "You just...you just talked."

"What, have you been deaf all your life, of course I can talk," the squirrel chattered.
"Guess we haven't been around to hear it," Natalia said. -
"okay," Carla said faintly. "I-I suppose."

"Now can I have my nut, or are you going to just gawk at me?" The squirrel said.
