    She sat up, the kit right beneath her. Bending down to peer at the small tom, she peered into his gorgeous amber eyes.

    The kit mewled, winding around her legs.

    She then began to pad forward, the kitten right behind her (I think).

    The kit trotted after her, his little tail lifted up like a flag.

    She padded in front of Oceanstar, a sorrowful look in her eyes.

    Oceanstar looked alarmed, then stern. "Is this one yours?"

    "No," She replied. "But this little tom came to me..." She looked down to her paws. "I was wondering- If maybe I could care for him? Take him as my apprentice, if he wants, and train him to be a Medicine Cat?"
