“ yeah, welcome to 2019” Runa snorted, as she threw a used bag of flower into the bin.
“ Scored!” She announced cockily. “ beat that bri-“
Briar three the empty bag of sugar into the bin, without looking.
Briar laughed gently beforehand gently taking Orion by the hand. “ you can trust us, I won’t hurt you, me being a witch shouldn’t change anything.”
“ but why?” Roman asked gently, sitting in the countertop. “ It’s not like Briar has ever killed anyone, and none of us have done any real crimes.” Roman said. “ I mean my probation was for using glamours on human classmates, Runa got into a fight, luci is a secret and I, not allowed to talk about he others.” Roman sighed.
Zain looked annoyed. “ Yeah, well the paladins make sure any witches get burnt before they’re revealed,”
Orion rocked back and forth nervously. "Yeah, Briar doesn't seem evil... he's really nice..." It was hard to imagine Father being wrong about anything, but maybe this was an exception. Maybe his father just didn't know enough about witches.
Roman and the others were quickly kicked out by Liora, though lucien remained since this is where he does his work.
The pastry chef returned to the second kitchen to work on cream puffs,
Briar stretched a little as orders came up.
“ let me show you how to mean a venison and balsamic salad.” He said as he smiled warmly at Orion. As if he wasn’t a peak god witch.
“ which makes sense.” Orion nodded with a hum the punk aesthetic wet dream smiled as he placed all the ingredients in the counter and started to prepare the ingredients, making sure to wash his hands after handling the venison.
Orion helped where he could, not really sure of what he was doing and also very, very distracted by Briar, only resuming his work when the dad-voice in his brain told him he was sinning. Damn closetcase.
The emo teenagers fever dream looked over at Orion with a big smile, as he ran a hand through his long hair, as he reached up to tie it back. He looked like a character straight out of some trashy romance novel.
Though...maybe straight isn’t the most accurate word...
