He nodded. "He died himself trying to do it. The servants to him were...disposable."

"I'm sorry," she murmured.

"It's nothing to be sorry about. I should have been smarter and seen the signs earlier..." He sighed lightly. "It was my fault."

"I'm sure it wasn't. You aren't responsible for your father's actions."

"Yes I am. It was my fault my mother died in the first place." He sighed and sat down in the chair next to the desk.

She walked over, wrapping her arms around him in a bear hug which she was too tall for. "Gregory, stop."

He blinked lightly and glanced at her. "Why...?"

"Because you're not the only one who blames themselves for their parents' deaths. But it's in the past, and you can't keep blaming yourself. I didn't know your parents, but I'm almost entirely sure they wouldn't want you to blame yourself and mope about it."

"hm..." He thought for a moment. "I guess...not."

She kissed his cheek and took back the map. "Let's go to bed."

He chuckled lightly and blushed. "Alright we can go back to bed." He stood up and started to walk.

She calmly put out the candle she'd lit with her bare fingers then followed him out.

He glanced back and smiled at her. "What planning on sleeping with me tonight?"

"If you want me to, I suppose. I'm just headed down the hall to my room." She looked up at him with a blank expression.

He took her hand and led her down the hall. "You'll sleep with me tonight."
