tongue ExperiencedLibertarians are 75% correct. That's a pretty good score if you ask me. How did I decide that?
There are four areas of political ideology: social views, economics, liberty, and foreign affairs. The libertarians are correct on 3 of those 4.
Social veiws: Libertarianism is generally liberal socially, particular when it comes to drug legalization.
Liberty: Libertarians obviously don't like much governmental intervention in people's personal rights. Aside from guns, I agree with them on civil liberties. Less gov't censorship, no seat belt laws, smoking in restaurants, all that good stuff. And of course the Patriot Act.
War: I hate war. Libertarians tend to be isolationists, and Ron and Rand Paul talk alot about signifigantly cutting military spending. I love it- I just wish more people in Congress would listen to them.
I disagree almost completely with the libertarians on economic issues. Otherwise, I think libertarians are pretty great. I wish there were more of them in our government, cuz in some respects, we really need them. -
