Actually the sky being blue because of the ocean is a myth. When light passes through our atmosphere, the energy waves change medium. It's like light passing through water. It bends. The light refracts like a prism and the color that reflects down onto the surface is Blue. Thats why at dusk and dawn when the sun is hitting at different angles, we see red, orange, and pinks.
