You people that live in the United States have it so lucky, yet you don't take time to think about it or even appreciate it most of the time.
Your parents are being an annoyance?
In Mexico, it's a common thing for kids not to have one, especially both, of their parents. Over there, they don't have any one to guide them. They have to start working harshly, almost like a slave, the second they can carry stuff.
Your hate you siblings?
From person experience, I can tell you that many people die in the army, and from accidents. When they are gone, there is nothing you can do to bring it back.
You hate your tutoring/lessons after classes?
At least you have those lessons. Hell, sometimes you people even get it for free. Some people in other countries are too poor for tutoring and lessons for their children. The only exception I can think to this is Venezuela, where they provide it or free for the poor families.
You hate the school to bits, and hate all the damn textbooks they have to give you?
In Mexico and Spain (much other Hispanic countries too), you have to buy the books yourself. You aren't given them for free.
You know what else? You are given so many things in these schools, too. Supplies. In those countries, you buy everything by yourself. If you don't have the money, no education. No future.
You guys don't GET IT. You have so much in this country! You all take it for granted. You waste your body with drugs, you start gangs, you get in the bad.. You are wasting so many opportunities!
Then later you whine about your poor life.. Because you didn't know how to appreciate everything you have.
Take it from me, at least. I was forced to move out of my own country, from my family, my friends, my real home. I complain, I know. We all do. But you know what? I know it was for the later best, even if I don't like it at all.
Think. It's a pain to get up in the morning for school.
But in other countries, there are children your age who fight in wars like adults. They work, like adults.
Parents and siblings are a pain.
There are even more children who don't have either. They lost them a long time ago.
You don't get what you want.
You people have it all. A roof over your head, people to take care of you, food.. Even things that aren't completely necessary in other parts of the world, such as a computer you use to be on these forums.
When I was little, you know what we played with?
We played with almost deflated sports balls, in the rocks. We didn't even use our good shoes to play. We didn't have computers, nor did we care for them. There was a place in town where there were computers and some game consoles, but the only people there were adults who had to do some research.
Just think.. You people really have so much. You need to take advantage of it.
Don't go and use drugs because 'you had nothing better to do'.
Don't drop out because 'you didn't have enough help'.
Don't do anything stupid because 'I was a waste anyway.'.
So many people.. I admit it, even in my own country, were under horrible circumstances.
But we learned to value every little thing we have, even when the pain was so unbearable.
Here, it seems the children take everything for granted..
tl;dr: You guys, just appreciate what you have before it's taken away from you. Don't make stupid decisions. -
Thanks for saying that, VegaKaga. It is true, we often dont appreciate what we have. America is totally not the same as it was 200 years ago, but it is still a land of opportunity. I dont complain much, in fact, if i do, people look at me as if i were doing something totally unnatural, but thank you for pointing this out.
-
Thank you, Alice.
-
I agree with this completely. I try to think of it this way, but hey, I slip sometimes.
-
this is all true ill give thi that.
but when mexicans enter amarica it gets all whack.
im not trying to be racist but this is true.
every mexican in y school i wanna say fak you.
they treat me like a ass and think they are better than me
but soon they will learn oh yes theyll see
im not trying to offend all mexicans some are super nice
but at my school thats really not precise. -
Shut up, Absol. Just shut up.
-
Americans are like that too.
When I came into this country, they would bully me. They'd spit on me, call me wet back, they'd beat me up. Not to mention all the mental torture I had to go through as well.
So also think about your own country and their people before you go you make such an ignorant and yes, very racist, statement like that. -
Well, on behalf of all the Americans I know personally, Im sorry for how you were treated.
I, personally love other countries. Dont know how people can be racist. My bff is black, my second bf is Puerto Rican, so... -
DON'T LISTEN TO THE STUPID NEWB JUST DANCE.
*huggles Alice*
Your post is very true. I'm sorry we suck so goddamn much. -

vege i agree. amaricans can belike that too. and like i said some mexicans are really nice. my friend carlos whom is in a lower grade than me is picked on by amaricans. i thump them of course. amaricans canbe a real pain in the persons persons ass and im not denying it. but i mainly just blame football and the popularity crap for it all. -
e.e Oh, aren't we cool? Don't worry everyone, they will be so kind as to tell us when they're pretending not to listen.
