"Ana, we need you to go into town for a bit and pick up a few supplies."
"But mom, I went to town just last week! And besides, its near the border. All the weirdos live near the border."
"Now Ana, Blanc is the largest city in all of Stockland. Thered be no place safer to be. Besides, like you said; you went last week. Im sure if youve done it once, youll survive doing it again. Besides, if you're so worried about it, Take Ting with you."
"Like that'll help any."
With that final remark, Ana laced up her shoes, dawned her cape, and strode out the door.
It was cool in Stockland this time of year. Being nearly 4 O'Clock and the dew still fresh on the grass was testament to that. But then again, the grass was wet all year. Ana skipped down the cobblestone street of her quiet town on her way to get her friend Ting for what was guaranteed to be yet another uneventful trip into town.
"Ting! Get your ass out here!" She shouted; pounding on the door until it shook. The neighbors would give her funny looks again. But Ana just smiled and waited, and pretended not to notice them.
"What the hell do you want, woman?" Ting shouted, throwing open the door before Ana could break it off the hinges again.
"Mom wants me to go into town again, and she said to take you along with."
Ting looked confused. "Why the hell did she volunteer me for that?"
"Because she just loves you so much!" Said Ana, pinching Ting's cheek and smiling sarcastically.
"Oh yeah, that." Said Ting. Slipping on her shoes and locking the door behind her. "Did she at least give us a cart."
"Nope! Were walking it."
"I really hate that woman."
"You and me both. Now let's go."
With that, the two young ladies began their journey into town. It would be nearly 8 miles to get there. But not wanting to delay the inevitable any longer, they set out without too much complaint. -
I'm not evil. I am disappoint. xD
Ah well, IT'S AWESOME ANYWAYS. -

I dunno, I might change the friends part. Maybe Alice. But I'll have to consider it.
For now, I've saved that in a word document, and I'll continue to work on it periodically. When I have a rough draft of the full 1st chapter done, I'll post it on the lit forum. -
