The loudest and stupidest people of the group always get the most attention. :I I'm a Christian because I personally feel a connection with God. Some people seem to associate with God because they think it makes them more powerful and better than everybody else. This is why I've stopped going to church, and worship him personally, and believe strongly not to force things upon others, because that's for sure not the way I found God. :I

Emily: He is.. I just have this big lump in my throat. Everyone expects something out of me, and they all joke about my sexuality (seeing as they think I'm straight) I'm sick and tired of it, and I tell them to stop but they won't..

Well then, ask them to stop joking. You don't need to say anything about not being straight, just say that it makes you uncomfortable.

I completely agree Cherry. People who cram their beliefs aren't doing it right. "Love your neighbor as yourself". Jesus said that, and I don't think being rude about your beliefs is very loving.

Hm. I agree with Selena BUT I can understand how you'd want them to stop it. If I were you, I'd honestly just wait until I got older. That way, if they get pissed, you can just leave.

Yeah, just say you think that what they are doing is arrogant and God wouldn't approve of it. If they don't listen, make clear that you think it's wrong. Even if they don't believe it's right, they sure as heck don't have the right to be rude and hateful. :I

Tori, I think you should just set aside some time. Tell yourr family you want for them to all set aside at least 20 minutes because you want to talk to them. At least this way they're prepared that you have to tell them something. Then just tell them and use the next 20 minutes to answer they're questions/ protests. I hope they're understanding
