"Lift."

He nodded and pressed the button. The whole routine was like second nature now; the ding, the sliding open of the doors, the metallic, "Going down," as the elevator shifted into motion. This time, however, Dan wrapped his arms around Phil and sang softly into his ear. After all, this elevator really did need some music.
"I can show you the world,
Shining, shimmering, splendid."
This time, unlike a certain previous video, the words weren't accompanied by creepy groping and an overall feel of humor. Instead they held meaning, comfort, and refuge. -
Phil grinned, resting in head on Dan's shoulder.

He rearranged the lyrics, seeing as Phil definitely not a princess. Oh no, he was more like a knight in shining armor.
"Tell me Phil~, now when did you last let your heart decide?
I can open your eyes,
Take you wonder by wonder
Over, sideways, and under
On a magic lift~ ride."
He stretched out the syllables of 'Phil' and 'lift' to fit the rhythm of the song. It seemed as though there was a permanent smile on his face. -

Phil smiled and turned around to look at Dan. -
Okie.
Dan grinned, the skin at the corners of his eyes creasing just a bit.
"A whole new world..."
The lift dinged and opened its doors, revealing the lobby area. -
Phil backed away from Dan, exiting the lift and stepping into the small apartment lobby.

"A new fantastic point of view~" Dan twirled out of the lift and did a sort of interpretive dance. His smile grew wider, if that was humanly possible.

Phil grinned and glanced around the lobby.

Dan opened his mouth to sing more, but drew a blank. "And then there's that magical moment where Dan forgets the words."

Phil laughed. "Yes. Magical."

"Puts an end to your misery though," he pointed out, laughing.

"Mhm. Sure."
