I quickly went down the street, then stepped up to Jaxon's front door. I knocked, then stepped back a bit to give the door room to swing out.

I heard Jenna knock on the door so I went downstairs to open it. We jumped in my car and drove off.

"How long will the drive be?" I asked him.

"I don't know," I replied. The next thing I knew, minutes turned into hours and it seemed as if we were driving for centuries. Rain began to pour down and drops of water slithered down the window-shield like a waterfall.

I yawned, tracing some of the raindrops on the window with my finger. The length of the trip was starting to make me tired, but I fought with myself to stay awake, occupying my mind with whatever I could.
