I heard a dish drop on the floor and shatter into pieces, I got scared

I walked towards where I could feel the evil presence. I heard a glass shatter.

"Who's there!?" I shouted loudly, I grabbed an old baseball bat and walked down the passage

Now that I was closer, I could tell there was a worker of the devil in there. A demon. If there were mortals in there, they would definitely be dead within the next five minutes.

"I know your there!" I gripped onto the bat tightly, I heard a growl, a growl? I was even more terrified, if I'm lucky by some miracle a person might walk through the door and save me but..chances of that happening are small

I heard the other worldly growl emanate from the house. It wasn't exactly mh job to protect mortals anymore, since I got booted out of heaven.
