"I'll get as close as I have to to make him give you your memories back," he said flatly, and in a tone that said he wouldn't be swayed otherwise.

I looked at him, so familiar. His tone for my protection, it was so familiar, I knew it from somewhere

Seth half smiled at her. "We need to find him."

I shook my head, "No. I won't let you get hurt"

"I won't get hurt, I have a knack for getting myself out of sticky situations."

I didn't really believe him. Something was telling me to look under his shirt. I pulled his shirt off and looked at the large scars on his chest

Seth stumbled backward in surprise, then sighed at the scars.

I reached my hand out towards him. I lightly touched one of the scars, "Your not going"

Seth took her hand. "Yes, I am."

I stood closer to him, "No your not" I gestured towards the scars, "I won't let that happen again" I stopped...I won't let that happen again...a memory struck me
Memory: Seth was lying on the ground. A pool of blood surrounding him -
He smiled. "You remember, huh?"

I nodded my head, tears were in my eyes, I had almost lost him, "I won't risk losing you"

"I will." His tone read the conversation was over.
