"Thank you again," I said and kissed his cheek. I got into the car.

He smiled, shutting the door and walking over to the driver's side. He got into the car.

I leaned over and laid my head on his shoulder. "I was so scared that I wouldn't make it."

"I'm glad you did." Mark pulled Nataly into his lap. Stupid waitress.

I cuddled into him. That waitress could die in the fiery pits of hell for all I cared.

They sat there for a little while. His coat was still on the passenger seat.

I fell asleep. Mark's warmth was comforting. -
He smiled. She'd fallen asleep.

I snored lightly and muttered unintelligibly.

He reluctantly slid her off his lap and into the passenger seat. He buckled her seatbelt and started the car.

I dreamed that Mark told the waitress who he was and she ran screaming off a cliff.

He drove along in silence. Soon it started to rain.
