He smiled, letting the strong arms of sleep pull him under.

I drifted to sleep, calmed by the rain, and assured by Mark's warmth.

He had a dreamless sleep.

I woke up first. I pulled away from Mark and looked at him. He looked calm and peaceful in his sleep.

He continued to sleep.

I smiled at Mark. I leaned in and gently kissed his cheek. I didn't want to wake him.

He smiled slightly.

He smiled in his sleep. I was happy that he knew I was there. I leaned over and kissed his lips softly.

His smile grew.

I giggled softly at his smile. "I love you, Mark," I whispered right in his ear.

He muttered something unintelligible. But it probably meant something along the lines of "I love you too."

I smiled and laid my head on his shoulder. I hoped he woke up soon.
