i made a new poem for poetry club
it took like 10 minutes so obviously it's not the greatest, i'm planning on revising it and shi
Autumn
My love is like a leaf in autumn
that's bursting into colors
beautiful, vibrant hues of emotion
As I learn more, and realize more
Slowly, leaves start to fall
One for your smile
Another from your jokes
Another from the way your mind analyzes every beat in a song
then another falls
and another
and another
until i've fallen completely
and wholly
for you -
and then i might add another verse about winter when the hope and emotions from the leaves start to wither and turn all brown and sad and fragmented, but blah blah blah that's a project for another day

i have concluded that Alice Oseman is one of my favorite authors
Heartstopper is NOT my favorite book by her though, it's overrated and honestly a 7-8/10. I love her other books, like Radio Silence and Solitaire. She has such a unique writers voice, and I love books where that shines
also she's one of those authors that just seems like a good person (i havent done much research on her so if she's problematic i genuinely didn't know that lmao) like you can tell she's just trying to learn and change as she writes and grows as a person and author, and it's really nice to see that -
solitaire is one of those books that is so dangerously close to my mind that it feels like she's a mind reader who changes the words on the paper based on who is reading it, it's so damn good

and in radio silence Aled reminds me of one of my childhood best friends so much and he's the guy who introduced me to Alice Osemans' work (he's never read Radio Silence tho)

i fell asleep during my chemistry lecture
i was asleep for like 10 minutes and we legit didnt do anything while i was asleep lmao -
chem is kinda boring tbh, i'm only taking it because A) physics did NOT sound fun, and B) AP Bio is a LOT easier if I take chem

i turned in my conspiracy theory powerpoint and my teacher emailed me to tell me I forgot about birds being robots lmfao

i added the moon landing being fake, mountains being fake, and covid shots, as well as a slide about why people jump to conspiracy theories, especially in the modern world
