i got a copy of it from my school library (forever grateful that my library has it), so im kinda bummed i cant annotate it or underline anything, but oh well, guess i'll buy a copy later -
happy halloween gang
ik its passed but shhh -
halloween was really chill this year
trick or treated with my youngest sister for an hour or so, got apple cider and hot dogs from my neighbor, and went to a halloween "party" with my boyfriend
It was just 5 people, and we were all goofing off, playing Catchphrase and getting drunk on sugar, and watched the Heretic -
i watched like halfwayish of it before leaving.
first horror movie i've seen (im not a huge consumer of scary movies in general), and the stuff I saw was really good. I enjoy finding out the motives of evil people, which is why I listen to true crime, so I really liked the religious and psychological elements of it. My parents lost their minds when they found out I watched it, seeing as it's my first horror movie, but I left around the time where the resurrection happened, so thankfully I got to see the "better half" of the movie (from what i've heard), and got to avoid the jumpscares (i hate the audio of jumpscares so damn much), so yay for me -
im definitely gonna watch the rest of it some other time, but probably around the day-ish since i've heard it's pretty twisted, and i'm a baby when it comes to horror
all my friends are horror fanatics so its lowkey a good thing im invested in this movie, otherwise they all wouldve freaked lmao -
but thats all for lucass' incoherent nighttime ramblings, it's late and I have work tomorrow :(
happy November! -
i love swedish treats

i love talking to my dad about religion because he has such a wildly different take on the afterlife and the gospel than most LDS people, and it's so interesting hearing him talk about his views on God
-
im agnostic but i love listening to peoples beliefs
i personally dont think any church has it right. i think religion is much too personal for any one group to have it all correct. I also think there's a large gap between gospel and organized religion, with organized religion being primarily about rules and expectations, while the gospel (at least the one I was taught) is focused on progress, service, and love -
the clouds look so pretty today. They look really scaley, and the scales are all curled up around the moon so it looks like we're either looking up at the eye of a scaley monster, or we're being sucked into a scaley whirlpool into the moon

"liking kpop demonhunters is so cringe"
god forbid someone has a hobby -
like dont get me wrong i get being annoyed with how popular it is, it's overrated and the people who make it their entire personalities do rub me the wrong way, but lets face it: the movie isn't bad. I personally really like it. The music is addicting, the animation is fantastic, and the characters are phenomenal. I genuinely love the movie.
I can also agree that it's overrated. It simply cannot get the hype it has gotten without being overrated, but I feel like we've forgotten that overrated doesn't equal bad -
and im so sick of people calling other peoples interests cringe, like interests aren't meant to be a super deep way to judge someone. They're meant to be entertaining and fun for the person. If you don't like something, that's fine, but why put down people for enjoying it?

lucases daily rant for the week is over :P
anyways Zoey and Rumi from kpdh have my soul, i love them both to death
I love Mira too, i just feel like i need more backstory on her before i can fully connect to her -
props to my old 5th grade teacher for having a childrens book that celebrates neuro and physical diversity
it has Greta Thunberg, Simone Biles, Michael Phelps, and Billie Eilish in it, so it's a pretty wide spectrum of talents and disorders. It's honestly pretty good
