Like sorry? We're reviewing the Milan Conference of 1880, so I'm gonna be rambling about the importance of the Conference and the notable people who supported the eventual decision that Sign Language shouldn't be taught to Deaf people (like Helen Keller) and how Alexander Graham Belle supporting oral language learning was because his technology was developed for audio learning, and the telephone was originally a tool for Deaf people to be able to practice speech (which is stupid since they can't hear the speech so they don't know what they need to work on but that's besides the point) so it was all just a glorified promotion for his technology and it WORKED
