Everything seems to be going by so fast. All my days are passing by so quickly. Which is a relief, honestly. I like that this school term feels like it’s passing by really fast. I just like everything about Winter. School is always a blur in Term 3 and the weather is nice

it’s about $50 and looks goofy if you don’t work in a factory/construction, but they’re mad comfortable and last 10 hours on a charge. i wear these regularly for my 12 hour shifts

also, loud as HELL. i got machines running around me all day and i still can hear my music fine

Damn I might cop those too when I return to the factory, might make those 10-12 hours more bearable

they look like regular ear protection if you tuck them into your shirt/hoodie, and actually function as such when music isn’t playing

My American Viktor flag arrived today and it is huge. It’s taking up a third of my left wall and I giggle every time I look at it

Some highlights from Eisteddfod !! (A cool music competition where a buncha school bands compete. We were the only public school there of course)
- the most Christian school in our area playing Freddie Mercury right after their religious hymn
- the bogan Australian dude making his speech and saying “ya it’s so sick brah” in every sentence
- me ABSOLUTELY ACING my solo and PLAYING IT PERFECTLY which gave me so much euphoria about everything
- all the pretty pieces played oh my goodness the amount of bands that did musical renditions is amazing
- the band that played A Song For Peace - aka the most hated piece in my school because we have to play it every Anzac Day, as well as the Eisteddfod last year, so we were all getting flashbacks
- it ending earlier than 11pm (unlike LAST YEAR) thank god
- bells !!! They’re little thingos like a keyboard but you hit each one with a hammer and they’re all at different pitches it’s so cool I didn’t know they existed new favourite percussion instrument
- people watching !! I got to sit in the front row for a bit and I love watching people play idk what it is but it’s so nice watching other people in bands like the way they do everything
- bonding as a band obviously. our rendition of the Mandalorian was so cool
- when the rich rich Christian private school won again and we were all pretending to be surprised
Overall it was super awesome and maybe even better than last year ! I love band events and stuffs they’re just so amazing and lovely and ah. I’m so happy I played my solo right, because I got the last two bars literally three days ago and I was panicking but I ended up acing it so huzzah !!
And my teachers are striking tomorrow so I can sleep in all I like. I got home at 9.30pm which is past my bedtime gang I like going to bed early -
I finished Most Ardently, a Pride and Prejudice remix, where Elizabeth is a trans man called Oliver and I adore it so much oh my god
It’s so perfect and they live happily ever after and it’s written beautifully. Highly recommend it’s so lovely ah
I wouldn’t say it’s better than Pride and Prejudice but for personal reasons and just based on my own preferences I like it better. The plot is just MORE if you know what I mean. It’s not two people trying to find love it’s two people struggling two accept themselves and live as everybody else but them is allowed to in this society, and for me the latter is much more enjoyable to read just because of my preferences in the such
It obviously wasn’t confirmed but I choose to believe that Oliver was able to marry Darcy and that everything worked out. They’re so lovely together ah I can’t

Quick rant about arcane also !
I canNOT like Caitlyn I hate her. Jinx absolutely did bad things too but I love her, but the whole reason Caitlyn went evil was because Jinx bombed the council building. A building she thought was empty mind you. These councillors were obviously oppressive and didn’t care about Zaun, and Caitlyn’s mother was to me not the best person.
Yes Caitlyn was being manipulated by Ambessa, but even before that she was mad and started hating all Zaunites for Jinx’s actions. She literally gassed half a city, where the air was ALREADY toxic, because of her dead mother what. And the thing is, Vi and Jinx went through so much at literally 10 and 15. Vi watched so many people die, and Jinx was abandoned time and time again, but caitlyn has the AUDACITY to tell Vi she “knows what she’s going through”. Caitlyn grew up as an aristocrat to mostly loving parents, then the moment her mother died she turns into a tyrant, at the big age of 25. I get it, sure, but hello??? Jinx unknowingly killed Caitlyn’s mother, leading to her feeling more like a “jinx”, and as far as we know, she regrets it (because of the scene where she’s talking to Caitlyn and says she “didn’t know her mother was in that building”). That doesn’t make it right, but we can see the reason why she did so and how she’s affected by that. Caitlyn gassed a HALF OF ZAUN, probably killing and hurting a ton of people, and faces no consequences for that. The people of Zaun were oppressed, and arguably, that explosion of the building led to Zaun’s liberation. They weren’t going to be freed by asking. Everyone on the council watched Zaun suffer for years, the only thing they did was build vents so they could breathe the air PILTOVER POISONED HELLO. If anything, Caitlyn’s mother lowk deserved to die and Caitlyn is a bad person for hating an entire town for the actions of one. She had every right to hate Jinx, but no right to punish so many for her actions. And if we say “BUT CAIT WAS GRIEVING” then we have to also say that JINX WAS GRIEVING and VI WAS GRIEVING therefore nobody is bad yipee. I love Caitlyn as a villain and such but I can’t like her as a person and she did NOT deserve that happy ending
