it's definitely a contract written in favor of the company, but our union did vote it in (i didn't lol). what sucks is how difficult it'll be to find a job that pays similarly to what i make rn, right out the gate. i'd be taking a pay cut anywhere i go in my area

i'd like to use part of my severance for a new car cause my area really isn't pedestrian friendly and if i can, whatever else i can use to put myself back in school.. that'd be nice

as for my rps, i think i'll have time to get to them later this week. likely thursday or friday if i don't get hit with ot again

you know, it probably wouldn't be as bad if they made an overtime list say, once a week. that way i know ahead of time what hours i'm gonna work.
however, i work a pitman schedule, meaning 2-3 scheduled days on, then 2-3 scheduled off. they literally make an overtime schedule on the second scheduled day in, giving you like 24 hours notice that you'll have to be in again those next two days. sorry if that wasn't explained well enough, brain fried -
so you can imagine how hard it would be to schedule anything, especially in your social life.
"hey wanna go to the pool?"
"ehh idk yet, i have to check my overtime schedule" "when will that be out"
"uhhh... the day before our plans" -
including dr's appointments.. they literally have you call in, take a point, and then bring in a dr's note to get that point removed. BRUH. i know. it all sounds like bullcrap when i write it out

Oof, jobs like that definitely suck
When I worked at the casino they had it where the schedule would come out three weeks in advance. It was kind of nice, and then they slacked off.
Also, that's definitely not enough time, given your schedule type 😠-
I'm gonna have to play Genshin at some point!

forreal! my social life has definitely taken a hit with this job especially given the attendance point system, it feels like i never have enough time to do the things i want outside of work. but this job isn't gonna be my end all be all thank god

if you like open world, fantasy & combat then yea i think you'd really like genshin! the art style is kind of anime-ish tho, i'm sure you've seen
