We were high up enough that no one really noticed. It had a pretty good view, but because I have a slight fear of heights, I only stayed up there for short periods of time.

Really? I've climbed this one mountain, it was rather small, but tall for a 6 year old, but it used to be a home for Native Americans.
And last year I climbed Mount Elbert, which is the tallest in Colorado.
Hopefully this year I'll be able to climb Mount Massive, which is the second tallest. -
Heights are kind of terrifying, but the rush of wind and adrenaline is worth it.

I live for that rush. Well, redheads make adrenaline faster, so I get it more often, so I love it more, it really doesn't make sense, but yeah. Heights are the absolute best.
I got altitude sickness though when climbing Mt. Elbert. AT THE TREELINE! The adults were like, "Are you sure you don't want to turn back?" And I wouldn't let them. When I commit to something, it is getting done no matter what. -
I understand that. I'm the type of person that will do something absolutely useless just to prove a point.
