Why do kids still believe that some fat guy breaks into your home and leaves you presents? My parents crushed that belief when I was 8.

Feeling really fcking happy.
I have a brand new drawing tablet and I'm going to have my own art blog. Mom's been awfully nice lately. I think she wants those $300 back.. -
I noticed that I'm not much of the confrontational type. I tend to hide instead of facing my problems.
Welp, I'm finally picking apart my personality so I can find areas where I need to improve. -
Social
-Let's be honest. I'm socially awkward. I have a habit of saying things at the most inappropriate times, yet when I should say something, I hold it in.
-I can't keep a conversation. It's not that I have nothing to talk about, I'm just bad with words.
-Being around lots of people, whether in real life or online, makes me uncomfortable.
-I hate being shown up. I grew up in a place where if you weren't the best, you got your ass kicked.
-Seeing other people upset or destroyed, as I like to say, makes this nurturing yet mocking urge set in.
-I try too hard to make people stay. I've always felt alone.
-I'm not the best at comforting people, so I often push them aside, not because I don't care, it's because I know I'll make it worse. -
