  Hm. I find both Shrek and Lion King equally cool as musical adaptations.

  I didn't have a great taste for muscial theatre at that point in time so I wasn't marveking at the acting or coustumes as much as my concentration was terribile back then ( people behind us giving more wonderful commentary) if I was to watch it now being a little more mature I'd probaky agree with you.
