My teacher said I'm wrong, and I don't know how it's wrong.
5(-3+-2)
-15+-10
-15-10
She didn't want the answer, just the simplified equation. I don't see how it's wrong. -
Me neither

Huh

A positive multiplied by a negative equals a negative.
5 x -3 = -15
5 x -2 = -10
You can't have two signs. A positive and a negative equal a negative, so it's subtraction. The ten is now a positive because you got rid of the other sign.
-15-10 -
now I get it.

It's the distributive property.

your correct. I took algebra 1 and passed with around a 90. You should be right.
