Nothing can stop it. But on the bright side, it's possible that it won't erupt for another 100 years or 1,000 years, or so. -
No, it's not possible. It will erupt. Google says that it erupts between 600,000-800,000 years, but I think that's just because it hasn't erupted in 720,000 years, and the last times have been like 698,000 and 700,000 years (I'm just guessing those numbers).

No, don't buy an airplane ticket. You don't want to be in an airplane when it's erupting because it will cause the plane to crash.
