My mother had her period at age twelve.

Megan: My mom had hers in fifth grade.
But occasionally to rarely, lately I have been having these[T M I] episodes where for a few days or really less that I would bleed blood that smells like some other type of blood, not period blood(because it has a fish scent trust me) but it's like real blood but it smells different from actual blood and sometimes these dark red(REALLY dark red) clumps or (blood clots?) come too. Is this normal? o.o -
Yeah, I posted about it. What I didn't post about was how I layed in my bed and cried begging whatever higher power not to let me get it. But after that, I realized it didn't hurt. All I feared was the pain.

That's your period. Period blood smells different (has the fishy scent) and there's also blood clots because it's the lining of your uterus.

It's your period. After I got my first period, I had it the next month, and then I didn't have it for another three months.

There's something wrong if your period is delayed for that long. As you said, go straight to the doctor immediately. -

There's nothing wrong if you miss a few months of your period when you're still in the first year of having it. It's normal. The same thing happened to my cousin.
