So, my mum and I were screwing around in the kitchen the other day, and I don't even remember what she said, but I burst out randomly and say "I'M AN INDEPENDENT BLACK WOMAN AND I DON'T NEED NO MAN." My step-dad had just walked in and he looks at me oddly and then slowly walks out. (for those of you who don't know, I'm very, very white) My mum finds this hilarious as f--- and she tells my grandma, her aunt, whatever, about it. Well, my grandma has a really good friend, who's really sweet and we met her when we went to California, and she's black. My mum told both of them about the thing and my grandma's friend is like "Welcome to the sisterhood." And I'm dying the whole time mum is telling me this.
That's not even the best part.
So, earlier today I was outside, and my mum comes out to check the garden, and she comes up and tells me, "Oh, I probably shouldn't tell you this, but Aunty-Grandma said that her friend is going to send you a few history book about black people. She thinks it's hilarious as f---."
At first I didn't believe her, but then she showed me the text and just-

Mum also told me that when we head to california for the Rose Parade, that when I see her, to open up my arms for her and say "come here sista"
after that I just left the room because I was too busy dying xD -

over here, we have a s--- ton of old west museums that had a lot to do about Indians, and so in elementary school we'd go tot he museums all the time and we went inside a tepee and saw all sorts of things they used as tools and clothes x3
dude, I love anything to do with war. WWI and WWII are my strongest areas, and I just *flails*
I guess everyone has their preference of what type of history they like xD -
