Now on the other hand, phan, you take it as a form of digression and it only gives you a reason to quit. So, and when I say this im not trying to force you to do this, you might want to consider changing your mind set to instead improve rather than give up.

"You're still young."
5 YEARS ISN'T ENOUGH TO IMPROVE IT'S USELESS IT TOOK ME 5 YEARS BASICALLY TO MAKE MY ART TO BE CALLED ART, IT'S NOT EVEN GOOD
I try to improve but it just won't happen. -
It's plenty time to improve, are you f---ing kidding me?
-
What have you done to improve?
-
No it isn't. I'm going to be a failure, I'm going to be the chick that works at Old Navy and likes to drive a tacky and smelly old taxi.
NOTHING. AT ALL -
Refer to Selena's thread called "Improvement" in The Workshop, friend. They improved so much in 4 years. They're 16 now, and they started when they were 12. You literally just turned 14. You're already so good at art, now imagine yourself in 4 years if you just keep trying. I know, sometimes you want to give up and just find something else to do. It happens to all of us. Sometimes I wonder if I should keep going because of how self-conscious I can be of my art. Just keep trying. Keep trying, you'll get better. I promise you that you will. Patience is such a useful virtue.

Well then no s--- sherlock. How can you improve if you've done nothing to improve? Try different styles of drawing body parts, hair, eyes, or whatever else you dont like about your current style.
-
I started drawing around three years ago and I've improved enormously. I know people learn at different spaces, but I think you just aren't trying hard enough. You have to look at all the references. You have to glide your pencil around, mirroring the lines in the photos. You have to learn every line and every curve in a human until you can barely feel the pencil moving. You have to imprint it into your brain. And if it still doesn't turn out right, you keep trying, because it's your own damn fault. Study harder. Improve more. Keep improving. Giving up is NOT an option.

*laughs* 4 years? That's nothing. I would probably quit at art by then or still be drawing crappy females.
I want to do various styles and types of art and other things besides females bit that's too hard, especially when I have like a tablet with Sketchbook Pro where people with actual skill can make super duPER detailed art on it and it's on the f---ing KINDLE and mine is just like I just colored something with Crayola. -
*at different paces

Work? Yeah, I give up. :P Too lazy, oh well.
Seth: So now you're implying that you improved then me? So like, b----.. -
YOU ARE COMPLETELY IGNORING EVERYTHING I SAID SO YOU CAN b---- MORE OKAY WOW
-
Why can't I have a natural born talent for art instead?
And I AM TRYING HARD ENOUGH. I looked at references, didn't work. I looked up anatomy, didn't work. Anything didn't work and I tried. Some things just aren't meant for others. -
If you aren't willing to put in hard work for long periods of time, then yeah, you might as well give up.
-
Exactly, thank you. We finally got to an agreement.
