  I'm confused though... what does "Newbie" and "Novice" mean? Also... how do you get a profile picture?

  Newbie and novice are status names. To obtain a profile picture, become a novice. To reach that status, create a quiz and link it to your username.

  On Gotoquiz, there are different status levels that you level up to. When you first join, you are a newbie. Then after a while you level up to Novice. When you hit Novice you can get a profile picture. There are other levels after Novice as well.
