I watched NC's review on the Disney Renaissance. When he reviewed Tarzan, it reminded me of that talk we had. Only flaws were: disliking Phil Collins music and calling Clayton cliche. To be straightforward his analysis on all films were spot on.

Actually, NC was questioning why Sabor couldn't be the main antagonist instead of Clayton, since everything was trying to murder Tarzan in the jungle. :P
Actually, I disagree with his opinion on Pocahontas. She isn't bland. Also Hercules. It's a jumbled mess, but the gospel music is good. Who can not forget "Go the Distance"? And I'm proud owners of both on VHS. -
ah, yeah. i find that the reason the tiger died so early on was to show that tarzan had grown since their last encounter and that he isn't some weak kid anymore.
i haven't seen the pocahontas review yet. .3. -
Not to mention Sabor murdered Tarzan's biological parents. So killing Sabor equates to avenging their deaths.
