It might be with other kids but it has never been like that with me since like PreK. The other thing about homeschooling is that you can work ahead because I'm 12 and I'm in high school/college right now.

KanraOrihara NewbieSometimes I consider home school, but in the end I'm glad I'm not. If I didn't go to a public school I would never have met my closest friends. Although I do agree that home school is probably easier.

Yes. A lot of people do homeschool groups and coops but I think those are total BS. I have opportunities to meet some people though. Public school is not completely evil, I just don't like it as much as homeschool.

KanraOrihara NewbieWhy not? You get to learn for free, meet lots of new people, and for some people it's able to save their lives.

I don't know. I've just been brought up in homeschool and prefer to be taught by my parents.

And actually it's not free. Taxpayers have to pay for public schools. But anyway, some people just have different preferences.

School sucks major donkey dick. High school and college have given me so much anxiety and stress that I now can't really talk to people that well. I'm all for learning new things, but who really needs to know how to graph spirals on a calculator? Not only that, but I had to wake up at 6:00am in order to get to school, so I only got like six-seven hours of sleep every night, and teenagers need about nine hours of sleep. Plus, I never really liked how I was always being told what to do and what to eat because those school lunches sucked.

School has its pros and cons. I mean if you weight them out one might be more than the other or they might be equal. I personally like and dislike school, but this is because it depends on what my mood is that day.

Well everyone in my family except my lazy 17-year-old sister wakes up at 6 am too.

But you could probably take naps during the day. Whereas if I tried to do that during school, I would get yelled at.

I don't believe in taking naps. Naps are for babies and old people.

I do agree with DOA on that point, because in Public Schools you don't have the freedoms that you have when you are home-schooled.

You also probably don't have homework to do that makes you stay up at eleven at night, and sports that you have to do during the day after school.
