Thread Topic: Homophobia isn't that bad.

I mean, people have their own preferences just like how you guys choose to become homosexual. Not everyone is going to agree or like your preference. I have mixed feelings with gays, and it IS a sin in someway but I'm pretty sure you WON'T burn in hell.
-
care_bear19 Novice^to an extent you are right. And I agree but there are people who take it too far. But there are also gay-pride people who take it too far.
-
Did you seriously just say homosexuality is a choice?
-
Cale NewbieAlright, I agree that people have their own preferences but it doesn't mean they can discriminate against them just because their preferences are different than theirs. Also how is it a sin? Is it in the bible? Tell me exactly where it is in the bible and even if you tell me it is I don't quite care. Because it is not a sin, no it's them be themselves and do like it when your discriminated against, I doubt it. I'm not arguing with you, I am stating my opinion. Anyways I'm agnostic which might help because I don't believe we will burn in hell because we make one "mistake".
-
Cale NewbieOh, I just re-read this and it might sound like I'm attacking not you but I am not, sorry if it sounds like I am.
-
Moya: Pretty much. Man isn't made to be gay, their environment is pretty much what explains why they're homosexual. There is reasons why "bi-curious" or any of those titles exist, because they're curious and want to make a choice. People can change sexualities or genders because they feel "out of place", which is generally choice.
-
You clearly don't know anything about the human brain.
-
care_bear19 NoviceWhat? Homosexuality is not a choice. I didn't choose to be bi. I resisted it for years, but I am proud of who i am now.
-
Cale: Yeah, I'm re-evaluating on what I just said. Yikes.
But yeah, I get what you said. I know you aren't, because my opinion on this is just s---. XD
I have no problem with it that much, but now it's turning into mixed feelings about it but somewhat "I don't care".
You guys, just because I'm saying an opinion about something doesn't mean I'm genuinely trying to attack your preference, I'm just saying MY take on it. It's my view on it, personal, so it may or may not be right. -
I'm laughing. So hard.
It's not a choice. Darling, I would chose to be a straight, cis woman if it were. But it's not a choice, and now I have to deal with gallons of s--- from dickish people like you. Why would I chose to be anything that makes everyone in my town hate me? -
Cale NewbieIt is a choice in the way that they identify as homosexual or bisexual or really anything like that but it because that is how their brain is wired. They find this gender slightly more appealing because of how their brain is wired, yes it might actually be because of the enviorment. Though when you think about the kids whose family are homophobes or good "Christians" (when in reality they might not notice it but they're using they're religion as an excuse to discriminate against a fellow human being) yet they turn out to gay or bisexual, how can you turn out liking what your family has probably been telling you is wrong and bad. So it's sort of half and half.
-
It is a choice, excluding the people that say they were or claim they were "born" homosexual. If that's even possible. When you think about these things to get a full answer, you really can't get your brain to work pass the regular statistics and step out of the comfort zone to actually get it. But there are always blocks that resist you from thinking to much past the idea which results to you to sticking back to the beginning. Things like these ideas aren't meant to think ahead on, as maybe the answer couldn't be answered. It's confusing, but eh.
Moya: It's you and me then, because you clearly don't know how brains work because brains work in other worlds, which are people. Their worlds are different. -
care_bear19 NoviceI grew up in a extremely religious christian house. I am Bi and Genderfluid. Your arguement is invalid.
-
Cale NewbieSorry, as if you can't see I am huge on human rights.
-
Jane: But you chose bi-sexuality because it felt right to you. The heterosexual environment was too abnormal.
