Thread Topic: Alright, listen up.

Know that I'm talking to you guys as a user.
Even though I might act that I dislike all new users, I honestly don't. Some of them seem to be pretty cool people. Some of them aren't as ridiculous as others. But, you have to admit, they can be ignorant a--holes some of the time.
Example one:
Link
There was an event yesterday in which someone created an account under the name of Girl Almighty without the _. The real user went on a bit of a weird outrage over it. I stated several times that the user was a troll, that it'd be best to ignore it. But the user ignored me and deep into the thread stated that they would ignore me and that anyone who disagreed with her plans of "revenge" should just get out. For starters, the troll wasn't really doing anything except for trying to pretend to be that user. The troll didn't exactly insult or harass her. And I pointed that out. Said user still ignored me, and it got to the point where I just said that I as a moderator would watch out in case the fake did anything rule-breaking worthy. While the user did apologize (thank you, by the way, but I know it was just a misunderstanding, darling) I want you to know that this is an example of why I don't like some of them. When you point out a valid fact, they act like little kids (although some of them have admitted to being little kids so fml) and ignore you no matter who you are.
Example two:

As you can see, at least half of the first page was unfortunately deleted by unknown users, but I have a screenshot so you can read all of the good stuff that they said!

This user posted a story that was a really great story. However, a user pointed out that they needed to work on their punctuation and I stated that the story should be moved to the Library. We did not state these facts rudely, we did not use foul language, in fact we stated it as a sort of joke (or at least I did). The first thing that they stated was and I quote,
^i know it would fit better in the library but its my story so shut the f--- up
I'm sorry if you believe that I'm going to magically put up with someone telling me to shut the f--- up. I'm sorry if you in any way think that it's okay for someone to say that. If you read through, while I admit I didn't have to respond with a harder tone, they continued to attack people with some really rude stuff.
And i didn't say it to be questioned or critisised it is MY f---ING STORY if you have a problem about where it is you shouldnt have clicked on the thread, and anyways however losley this does fit here, the front porch is designed to be about RELATIONSHIPS and these are shorts from my RELATIONSHIP related storys and fanfictions so f--- you you dips---
This type of language was used for most of the responses towards me and my friend. We were never rude to this user, yet they lashed out at us. And now other new users are saying it's fine that a story was posted in there, that they just want to read it. While I understand that, we did not have to go through all of that just because of a misunderstanding. They did not HAVE to be rude. They did not need to get prissy with us because I asked them to move their story. Now, other new users will think it's okay to post things in the wrong forum. Maru, James, and I have been trying to get users to post things in the right forum. These new forums were given to us for a reason. We'd like to use them the way they were made to be used, not to get yelled at and have a bunch of new users gang up on us [me in this case] for stating the truth.
Example three:
Link
A thread was made in the Stage. Two users were talking in it. While I wouldn't normally mind this, these users have over three of the same threads and the Stage is meant for roleplaying. I stated and I quote,
Talking is meant for the Lounge. Unless you're going to be doing yet another roleplay with the same title in this thread, please move this to the Lounge.
Other user stated back 'no' in response. While the thread wasn't ever used again after I pointed out, I find it rude that they couldn't move their chatting thread. However, you can claim that this is a personal thing for me. This irritates me deeply because me and all other roleplayers were told that we could not be in the Lounge because we were too irritating. We were kicked out of the Lounge- the only place we had been used to roleplaying in- and forced into the Stage. While I'm now happy to claim the Stage as home, it's not at all cool to see users using it to talk. If the Lounge is meant for chatting, I'm sure they can use it for its intended purpose. It's all I as a roleplayer ask for.
[To be continued in second post] -
Dark...was this really necessary? I completely understand the fact that you dislike some new users and you think others are cool, and I respect that choice and you can do your own thing. But nobody was actually ganging up on you because of your own particular opinion, so why did you make this?
-
@Br0wnies This thread was not meant in any way to point out people ganging up on me because of my opinion. This thread was to point out why I don't always act nice to newer users and to express why I don't. It's to prove that I have reasons for not automatically being nice to other users. This was very necessary. It applies to everyone. I did say it'd be finished in a second post, though, so that's probably why you're confused.
-
Redrose2 NewbieYea I put something in the stage and I got message about it
I can understand why they have different formes it makes a lot of since -
That wasn't the main point, but yes. Do you see one of my minor points, Red? It's not our fault for wanting threads in the correct forum. We're not putting you down just because you're new. We just want people to use forums correctly, and it can get a bit irritating when you're snapped at for it.
-
My apologies, then. I was led in a way that you were pointing this out because you were afraid other people thought you were mean because of your recent behavior towards new users. I just read the second post and now I understand where you're getting at.
-
Good. But I hope more people poke their heads in here, I didn't spent an hour trying to sum up my feelings so I could be ignored and let this important s--- die.
-
Redrose2 NewbieYea I feel u dark

Tess Gillett NoviceWhat the hell is up with people against new users today?! I mean, everyone was new at some point. Everyone is making them sound like scum, they arent any different. This is almost discrimination! And who cares really? Nobody is forcing anyone to be friends with them, just leave them alone. Let them make friends the way older users once had to when THEY WERE NEW USERS too. It isnt a fact of superiority, its just stupidity. Just get along.
-
Redrose2 NewbieThere is nothing up he is trying to make a point I am new so it helps a lot
-
Tess Gillett NoviceI mean, yeah I understand what you're saying...but still...
-
..I'm not sure you read my thread right.. This thread was intended to let you all know why we don't love new users. And, I already stated that.
And, don't get me wrong, I know that I was just like them. I know that I should be helping them. Which is why I do these things; I tell them that they need to drop something, I tell them that they need to move things so they don't get hated upon. My "anger issues" or whatever you want to call it is just me trying to help. So don't say that I automatically hate on all newer users.
Not all older users hate you newer users. We just don't like how some of you act. We're trying to help. We're trying to give you a chance to know that you need a lift and we're offering one. -
^Directed at Tess Gillett
Also, I'm a female, so please refer to me as a she/her. -
The problem is, some older users do have a bit of a temper and are rather grumpy at times ( I'm not saying any names but this isnt directed at you ) but some new ones are sometimes troublemakers, I'm not on anyone's side but some new and old ones here seem to sometimes go against eachother, some people are just too different to get along well, which is rather sad but we can't change that...
I remember that I was immature and rather young when I first came here, I still try to be a fun and nice person here, I haven't really been in any big fights here for a while, but I was not active here for a while, I'm coming back though -
Redrose2 NewbieI have no prob with what he has to say and I am not saying u guys do its hard being new I have be to like 14 different schools its helpful when someone explains things to u
