-3 + 9(5 + 2v) - 6v = 2v - 8(6 - 5v)
-
Got you my nigga. Solving for v?
-
Yupppp.
I keep on ending up with -25v = -90. But the answer key says it's v=3. And -90 divided by -25 isn't positive 3. Is it? -
P.E.M.D.A.S
-
Let me do the math.
-
*snickers* Never use an answer key; half the time they give you wrong answers just because they know you'll use it.
-
>_> If the answer key is in a published book, why would it be incorrect? That's just stupid.
-
I DID PEMDAS
PEMDAS DOESN'T LIKE ME
Okay. .3.
But our teacher purposely gave it to us because she wanted us to learn how to do the work right so she wouldn't have to correct us later.. xP -
I DID P.E.M.D.A.S AND GOT -42-12 = 2v - 8 THEN I FORGOT EVERYTHING ELSE.
-
I SOLVED IT.
-
someone show me what I'm doing wrong
let me show you my work -
YAH MOY SOLVED IT.
I'M PROBABLY WRONG. -
Here's what I got using DCMAM
Problem: -3 + 9(5 + 2v) - 6v = 2v - 8(6 - 5v)
Step one (Distributive Property): -3 + 45 + 18v - 6v = 2v -48 + 35v
Step two (Combine like terms): 42 + 12v = 37v - 48
Step three (Move smaller variable): -25 = -90 -
probably skipped some steps but
-
8 times 5 is 40. .3.
