I'm gonna hop in here and play Devils advocate and say that Skrillex has no outstanding musical talent and his fans are herded like sheep towards all of his merchandise.
The definition of music is:
vocal or instrumental sounds (or both) combined in such a way as to produce beauty of form, harmony, and expression of emotion.The "music" skrillex produces falls under the absolute loosest interpretation of this, lacking in depth, harmony, and even patterns. Given the choice I would rather listen to a 3 year old child attempt to perform a triangle solo because at least that would hold some consistency.

I've tried several times to understand what people see in Skrillex music. It's a synthesized tone distorted beyond any recognition overlapped with people screaming incoherently at sporadic intervals.
Usually whenever I try and listen to it, I leave dissapointed, unimpressed and with a migraine.
