She's been throwing up, crying in a heap on the couch about how bad her stomach is hurting her, had a fever of 103. We've been medicating her, but she wasn't getting better, so my mom called my dad and told him we were taking her to the Urgent Care.
He said, "Yeah, she's been throwing up on and off for the past week. Probably should've taken her to a doctor."
Well done, jackass.
So we took her there. She has a urinary tract infection and strep throat. She developed the strep as a result of not having the proper antibiotics for her infection.
In other words, once again, my father has denied medical attention to someone in my family who needed it. This time is worse, though, because she's f---ing seven years old. -
Oh, no.. That idiot.
-
Strep? Ew. I had that when I was 9. Or was it scarlet fever. I can't remember.
But he sounds like a real jackass who shouldn't take care of children. -
Oh.
-
Did your father apply for health care online yet? It expires midnight the following Monday.
-
Yes, that idiot. You should have heard her. If I'd known he let this happen to her when she was crying her eyes out and begging me to give her medicine, I would've cut all his fingers off. Along with a few other things.
-
*Yeah, he is. And he's currently suing us for full custody of her.
I don't know or care. He should have done something. You don't ignore it when a seven year old is "throwing up on and off for the past week".
