Basically what Meg said. Congress can't agree on how to deal with the deficit and neither republican nor democrat will fold on their thought's so they are shutting down what they call non-essential government programs while things are being worked out.

Yeah I don't know either, but our debt is growing even as we speak and there's not really much to do about it because we are all f---ed. Around 16 trillion dollars, mostly in debt to China. Isn't that wonderful?

What's even more stupid is that other countries are in debt to us, but I don't think we're really pushing them for the money.

It's all just a big pile of debt to each other and I really think if we never used a representative monetary value system then things wouldn't have gotten this out of control.
