Thread Topic: ...hello.
-
It's from 'The Raven',by Edgar Allen Poe.
-
*smirks*
I see. Blackbird isn't a raven. -
*stares back at blackbird*
-
*makes small fire appear in the air in front of Blackbird*
-
Blackbird: *continues staring*
.......Stop that.
Blackbird: *not stopping that* -
I see that, but 'Quoth the Blackbird"Nevermore"'Doesn't have the same ring to it.
-
Hm.. if you say so.
*backs away from fire*
Blackbird: *continues staring without issue* -
Mmm *fire wraps around Blackbirds head and freezes as black as the flame*
-
What the hell?!
*backs up again and stares at Blackbird*
Blackbird: *flails wings wildly, digging talons into shoulder again* -
*blinks* your an odd bird aren't you?
-
*laughs* I love my powers! *motions with hand and ice melts*
-
*glares murderously at Death*
You bitch! You could have hurt him!
Blackbird: *glares at Death and hisses* -
`Wretch,' I cried, `thy God hath lent thee - by these angels he has sent thee
Respite - respite and nepenthe from thy memories of Lenore!
Quaff, oh quaff this kind nepenthe, and forget this lost Lenore!'
Quoth the raven, `Nevermore.'
`Prophet!' said I, `thing of evil! - prophet still, if bird or devil! -
Whether tempter sent, or whether tempest tossed thee here ashore,
Desolate yet all undaunted, on this desert land enchanted -
On this home by horror haunted - tell me truly, I implore -
Is there - is there balm in Gilead? - tell me - tell me, I implore!'
Quoth the raven, `Nevermore.'
`Prophet!' said I, `thing of evil! - prophet still, if bird or devil!
By that Heaven that bends above us - by that God we both adore -
Tell this soul with sorrow laden if, within the distant Aidenn,
It shall clasp a sainted maiden whom the angels named Lenore -
Clasp a rare and radiant maiden, whom the angels named Lenore.'
Quoth the raven, `Nevermore.'
`Be that word our sign of parting, bird or fiend!' I shrieked upstarting -
`Get thee back into the tempest and the Night's Plutonian shore!
Leave no black plume as a token of that lie thy soul hath spoken!
Leave my loneliness unbroken! - quit the bust above my door!
Take thy beak from out my heart, and take thy form from off my door!'
Quoth the raven, `Nevermore.'
I love these lines. -
*ice creeps up around star* now star, stop harming these really nice person and bird.
-
Blackbird: *jumps off of shoulder and takes instead to gliding around Lost's head*
*sighs*
I guess you're alright then....
