Jakes eyes darted to the cold, tile floor of the hospital. He turned his head, nodding ever so slightly.

I felt like I was going to cry again, now I knew why he had all of those wounds and scars

He pulled his knees to his chest, resting his head on his knees. Shutting his eyes, he pondered what life would be like in a new home, or no home at all.

I was still silent, but I wanted him to live with me, or at least while I was still alive

Over some time, little sobs were heard from Jake before there was silence. He'd fallen asleep, tears on his cheeks like dewy grass in the Spring mornings.

I was glad we were checking out, but I had to start taking medicine to maybe make my heart work a bit better, but it might not do anything, but I was really happy for once, my parents decided to let jake live with me in my house

Jake closed the door to the car, and stood straight. "Thank you, so much..." he
said to Williams parents. -
"your welcome" my father said, I gently took jake's hand and went inside
